OUR FACILITY
Dog Sports at Kim's is a state-of-the-art
dog training facility designed specifically
for dog sports. We are one of the largest
dog sports centers in the St. Louis
metropolitan area, boasting a 9,200-
square-foot, indoor, climate-controlled
training area housing separate rings for
agility and obedience. Both rings are
completely outfitted with rugged,
professional-grade equipment and
the newest running surface, RB
Rubber Matting, designed to protect
dogs' joints.
Adjacent to the building are two fully equipped, fenced, lighted outdoor agility rings and a fenced exercise field. One of the outdoor rings is outfitted as a standard agility course, while the second is set up as a Jumpers course. These outdoor courses are invaluable, making it possible for DSK dogs to train in actual trial conditions. Many agility trials are held outdoors, and if a dog is trained indoors exclusively, the sights and smells of the outdoor environment can destroy his ability to focus at the trial.
In every way, it’s crucial for dogs to practice in a place that approximates competition conditions, and our facility meets that need. The DSK obedience room is 3,600 square feet, and the agility room is even larger, at 5,400 square feet. The facility has two indoor restrooms and a kitchen area.
DSK offers training in competitive agility, obedience, and rally, and regularly hosts obedience
and agility trials. We are proud to have hosted the Greater St. Louis Shetland Sheepdog Club specialty show for the past three years, the
obedience and rally trial for the past three
years, and agility trials presented by Canine
Performance Events (CPE) and the
Teacup Dogs Agility Association (TDAA).
The DSK facility is available to rent for
Specialties, Fun Matches, Show 'N Go's,
obedience and rally trials, and other dog
activities. Either room can be rented separately, or the facility can be rented as a whole.
